Directions for RealVideo and RealAudio

1. You must use Microsoft Explorer (4.0 or later) Netscape doesn't seem to work. (If you know the secret of making video work with Netscape, please share your knowledge with Botielus)

2. You must have: a player on your computer that plays RealMedia. Get the newest FREE version by clicking here:

(it's on the Real.com site; just keep clicking for the "FREE RealOne player". They have a paid one, but the FREE one is great for playing real video and audio)

3. These may be an older format of RealMedia, and may not stream!

4. Either: 5. Left click or 6. Right click on the link

5. Left click on the link. It should start downloading to your c:\windows\TemporaryInternetFiles. Then, the player should open, and start to play the video. If it downloads, but doesn't open the player: YOU open the player, then open the .rm file in that folder and push play. If you want to save the video into another folder on your hard drive, just go to the Temp folder, and copy the .rm file, and paste into whatever folder you like. If left clicking doesn't work, try the next few steps:

6. Right click on the link, and choose "save target as"
a) It must have the extension .rm
(if your browser defaults to .ram, change it to .rm)
b)Pick a spot, and put it there. Remember where you put it!
c) Then use the player above and open it.

Note: if the RealAudio clips give you an error, you just need to upgrade to the new version. It only takes a few minutes, and it's free! If you have an older version of the RealAudio player on your computer, definitely upgrade it. The new version sounds WAY better than the old one.
